The task
Invent a dark chocolate brand and show in ten seconds why its bar deserves to be broken slowly.
The idea
Two hands break a bar of dark chocolate. The camera dives into the crack, and the crack becomes a canyon at sunset with a glider flying through it. The canyon floor turns back into chocolate, and the OBSID bar stands in the landscape next to its slogan.
How it was made
We created the brand from scratch: the name OBSID, the black pack with a single glowing crack line and the slogan Break it slowly.
The break, the dive into the crack and the flight through the canyon were planned as one continuous camera move, so the chocolate and the landscape read as the same material.
Warm sunset light runs through every shot and ends on the glowing crack of the pack. The wide 16:9 film and the vertical 9:16 film were composed separately.
